The Quartz Crystal

When you look at this quartz crystal, you see beauty.  By its simplest definition, it is the product of a volcanic explosion, composed of silicon and oxygen.  But a closer look into the extraordinary and diverse uses and influences of quartz in the world provide an answer to the question:  What makes it so beautiful? Quartz has been used in clocks because of its consistent frequency produced by its near-perfect geometric structure.  It is also a common mineral used in natural crystal healing, as it is believed to match the frequency of some aspects of the body.  However different these functions of quartz may be, there are similarities between all of the uses of quartz, which arise in the influence they have on the possessor.  Each of these purposes, whether it is through the manipulation of time or the altering of one's mindset, have the ability to change the lifestyle of whomever uses it.  This individualized nature of the significance of quartz allows its beauty to be seen in the eye of the beholder.
