Rajidae: A Versatile Creature

When you look at this Rajidae, you see versatility throughout time. To many visitors, the black, shriveled body of the Rajidae may seem unremarkable compared to the impressive arrays of crystals, insects and other specimens featured at the museum. However insignificant the Rajidae may seem at first glance, it has in fact played a timeless role in the development of many cultures. In previous time periods, the Rajidae was used for medicinal purposes, a reliable food source and as idols of worship within different cultures. In society today, the Rajidae's unique properties are used to advance treatments for diseases, as a highly nutritious meal, and as models of study within the scientific community. The multitudinous and adaptive qualities of the Rajidae have been recognized in both past and present societies to advance the development of the community. Perhaps the way that humans have taken advantage of the versatile nature of the Rajidae is a precursor for the role it may play in society’s future.
